I expected to see Renee (It is her wedding, after all. One would assume that she be there)-- but there were other surprises as well. Her parents were there, in whose basement we spent many hours watching TV and movies over 10 years ago. Kim & Maya were there. Chesca. Mary & Dean. Val-- and also new people who weren't there 10 years ago but could have been.
Cat was there too as seen above. And right there-- I feel like we're having a moment.Tomorrow, Renee's getting married. My best friend for over 10 years. We haven't really kept up, whether it's from being half a country apart or simply from time-- who knows. But I love her dearly nonetheless, and I don't think that will ever change. I can't wait to see her tomorrow, and finally meet the man she's to marry.
It's going to be surreal.I'm getting into the bad habit of taking my photo at the very last possible second-- and these (ahem) interesting photos are usually the result. A big ol' discombobulated mess where my eyes are on my chin and my other set aren't even in the picture.
In absentia: Dad-- he opted to take an actual bed as opposed to a portion of the living room floor.

Our very first poker tournament. Paul felt he needed a poker hat, and picked up this one at Walmart for $6.95. Either by distraction from the severity of grammatical errors or by plain ol' good luck, it is my firm belief that the unnecessary apostrophes won him the tournament.
An original investment of $6.95, returned him a $70 first place prize!
