Day two into the official "back to work and end of vacation week" and the weather has already betrayed my mood. Apparently the weather deems it appropriate to shove blue skies, blooming flowers and green grass in my face while I contemplate paid vacation and me not being on one.

Damn the weather and its dewy fresh spring-iness. Bah!

Oh dear lord-- first day back after vacation.

It only seems fitting to take a photo of the street below from the safety and comfort of my apartment window. Watching various business people in their various business attire carrying various business briefcases makes me want to take my pants off, sit on my couch and watch a DVD of Friends reruns.

The rain outside seems to befit my mood.

The first of extremely hot days, Paul and I head out for our monthly massage and then for a walk thereafter.

We went to see our new building (still in utero), picked up a few movies for tonight, then took a walk back on the boardwalk for Beaver Tails and Cows Ice Cream.

Today, we were tourists-- I was, after all, wearing linen pants.

Caution: Today, Alain will be moving the computer (which hereto after shall be referred to as the communication center) from the kitchen to the living room; the liquor cabinet will be relocated from the living room into the kitchen where its previous tenant was the previously mentionned communication center; the couch will moved from the south end of the living room to the north, and the television set will be slightly pivoted to face its new location. Paul's makeshift work clothes closet will be relocated from its not-so convenient spot of the netherworld, which in laymen terms may be referred to as "somewhere between the kitchen and living room", to the now clean washroom.

Caution: Alain is cleaning. It doesn't happen a lot, but when it does-- nothing is safe.

Paul's birthday, but unfortunately none of us we're around each other to celebrate it. I went out with my Mom while he went out to work for a few hours. By the time I got home, Paul had already been home, but left again for supper with his friends.

Through all the hubbub, I completely forgot a picture and thus took one of my foot (not a very good one, mind you). I figured every time I forget a picture, I'll take one of a random body part.

Today, my foot! Tomorrow, the world!

barrels and IVs

The morning after-- the view from our room.

Despite the copious amounts of alcohol last night, I woke up chipper-- and couldn't wait to get out of bed. Which, quite honestly, is saying a lot-- well, since it usually takes barrels of coffee (if the required IVs of it aren't at my disposal) for me to even make a conscious effort to recognize my very existence.

But this morning, I woke up refreshed at some ungodly hour. I got dressed, while Paul stayed in bed, grabbed the car keys and drove out for a coffee and a muffin and then sat outside on the patio watching the view. Until Paul was up, however, at which point I went in and watched Coronation Street.
